Patrick. R. Buchanan has been selected by his peers as a Martindale-Hubbell "AV'1 rated attorney. He has also been selected by his peers as a Mid-South Super Lawyer, an honor reserved for those lawyers who exhibit excellence in practice. Only five percent of the attorneys in Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi are named to the Super Lawyers list each year.
Pat is among only eighty lawyers selected from a six (6) county area on the Mississippi Gulf Coast to be an inaugural member of the American Inns of Court. He remains a current member of the Russell-Blass-Walker chapter of the American Inns of Court.
Pat is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Biloxi Public School District. He was appointed by the Mayor of Biloxi and confirmed by the Biloxi City Council. Prior to his service as a member of the Board of Trustees, Pat formed the Big Red Athletic Foundation. The Big Red Athletic Foundation is a charitable 501(c)(3) corporation that was frmed to work vith Biloxi public schools to help promote excellence in athletics. Pat served as President of the Board for the Foundation. Pat was president of the Biloxi High School Diamond Club. Pat served as the - Senior Warden for the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer. His te1m as Senior Warden ended in 2005. The parish asked Pat to remain as Senior Warder after Hurricane Katrina struck in August 2005 to help Redeemer recover from that devastating hurricane. Pat also served as Junior Warden and a member of the Vestry for Redeemer. Pat served as President of Biloxi National Little and President of Biloxi Little League. These leagues provided youth baseball for the City of Biloxi, for children aes 5 - 12. Pat was honored to be selected as the City of Biloxi's Sports Volunteer of the Year.
