Raymond L. Brown, who founded the firm in 1987, is a resident of Pascagoula, Mississippi. Raymond is a former law clerk for Justice Tom Clark of the United States Supreme Court. Raymond's legal skills and accomplishments are recognized by his peers. He is past president of the Mississippi Bar; past president of the Young Lawyers Section of the Mississippi Bar; past president of the Mississippi Defense Lawyers; and Fellow and past state chair (for two years) of the Mississippi Fellows of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He is a past president of the University of Mississippi Alumni Association (Ole Miss) and past President of University of Mississippi Law Alumni (1996-1997). He is also past President of the Gulf Coast Community Foundation (2002-2003). He spent three years in professional football, playing with the Baltimore Colts (1958, ’’59, and ’’60), and two of those years the Colts won the overall professional football championship.
He formerly served on the Board of Regents of the American College of Trial Lawyers, representing Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.
Raymond was appointed, by United States District Judge William H. Barbour, Jr., to a committee which assisted in the development and implementation of the Uniform Civil Justice Expense and Delay Reduction Plan. He is active on numerous committee.

He was honored as a 2006 inductee into Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and was the 2006 recipient of the Mississippi Bar Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award. He has also been honored with induction into the University of Mississippi Alumni Hall of Fame and the University of Mississippi Athletic Hall of Fame.
